Dreamosaurus

ôSmart, tuneful and wildly imaginativeö is how the Washington Post has described Dreamosaurus, the story of a little boy named Nelson who loves to dream about dinosaurs so much his mother calls him a ôdreamosaurus.ö Lately, however, NelsonÆs dreams have been getting a little scary; but Nelson learns to deal with his nightmares thanks to lovable and musical baby dinosaurs like Tiny Tina, the tango-dancing titanosaur, Doris the ditsy baby Stegosaurus, a feisty triceratops named Sam, the beautiful Roxie Regina, a lady T-rex, and Shy Kyle the Ankylosaurus and many more. Dreamosaurus, a production of Dinorock Productions, was nominated for a Grammy Award this year, and was a ParentÆs Choice Magazine Gold Award winner. The show was written, performed and produced by: Michele Valeri (singer/songwriter for Dinorock Productions and herself a three-time ParentÆs Choice Award winner); Michael Stein (musician, songwriter and actor who starred as Peter in the original cast of ôJesus Christ Superstarö); puppeteer and two-time Emmy Award winner Ingrid Crepeau; Keter Betts (long-time bass player for Ella Fitzgerald); Barry Gordemer (director of NPRÆs ôMorning Editionö and puppeteer on Discovery ChannelÆs Animal Planet News); and Dinorock producers Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, two-time Grammy nominees. Dreamosaurus is available on Rounder Kids Records.
