Ehectl Aztec Warrior Dancers

Ehecatl Aztec Dancers have performed "warrior syle" dances of the Mexika-Chichimeka tradition at numerous venues over the last 25 years. The have made appearances throughout the United States and Mexico, in Canada, Singapore, the Philippine Islands, and Switzerland. Their dances range from ancient dances with roots that date back thousands of years, to modern dances that are part of our living tradition. This evening’s performance begins with an invocation to the four directions, utilizing a conch shell and kopalli (traditional incense). We intersperse our dances with information about who we are as indigenous people.
