The Elm City Ensemble

Formed in 1996, the Elm City Ensemble was recently featured in Chamber Music Magazine as one of AmericaÆs top young ensembles of the ôGeneration-Xers.ö Awards include winning the silver medal at the 3rd Osaka International Chamber Music Competition in Japan, as well as the top prizes in four national chamber music competitions: the first and grand prize at the prestigious Fischoff and Coleman competitions, the first prize at the Yellow Spring, Ohio, competition and the AT&T Pro Youth Award at the Carmel Chamber Music competition. The Elm City Ensemble is comprised of Ingrid Sweeney (violin), Rebecca Patterson (cello), Garrick Zoeter (clarinet), and Cristina Valdes (piano). Their repertoire ranges from contemporary classical to music expressly written for the ensemble. Their world premiere CD recording is now available and can be purchased through their website, www.
