Ensemble Convivencia

For more than 15 years, Ensemble Convivencia has been performing in France and Europe. Their repertoire covers six centuries of music with a particular emphasis on popular song: instrumental pieces and monodies originally performed by the troubadours and trouvères of the Renaissance and later periods. Founded in 1988, Convivencia worked for many years in music theater producing operas and musicals inspired by the literature of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. With the foundation of their vocal quartet, the ensemble has refocused its work on the polyphonic music of the late Middle Ages and Renaissance as well as the popular music of today. Convivencia has produced more than twenty shows and concerts, tours annually throughout Europe and runs many master classes and workshops.
