Faith, Spirit and Soul

Faith, Spirit and Soul is fast becoming one of the rising a capella ensembles in the area. The group, comprised of veterans from several music genres, has completed a whirlwind year of performances culminating with an appearance at FARM-AID 2000 opening for acts including Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp. Tonight is their Kennedy Center debut. In 1999, three members of the ensemble were part of a European tour with the Howard University Chorale and the Chicago Sinfonetta. Reginald Moore (baritone), Pierre Hall (bass), and Timothy McDougle (tenor) form the nucleus of the group, with guest appearances by such luminaries as Sam Hubbard, a member of the Swan Silvertones and Master Artist at the Smithsonian Institution, and Reverend James Hardy, former lead singer of the Soul-Stirrers of Chicago and the Brooklyn All-Stars, two legendary and award-winning gospel groups.
