FITO PÁEZ with Guillermo Vadala, bass; Gonzalo Aloras, guitar; Sergio Verdinelli, drums; Javier Lozano, keyboards Jorge Llonch, sound; Gustavo Pinet, lighting; Marcelo Infante, stage manager Argentine rock star/songwriter Rodolfo “Fito” Paez was born in 1963 and formed Staff, his first rock band, when he was thirteen years old. Fito Paez is one of the most influential songwriters and performers of his generation, with more than 40 hits in Latin America and Spain. He has recorded seven solo albums to date, including Circo Beat in 1994, produced by Phil Manzanera; Euforia a double-platinum, unplugged album two years later; and two albums, Abre in 1999 and Rey Sol in 2000, produced by Phil Ramone. Paez has toured internationally, recorded a concert special for HBO, and won two Latin Grammy Awards in 2000. AmericArtes on the Millennium Stage is presented by the American Express Company.
