Frente De Danza Independiente

The Frente de Danza Independiente (FDI) is an Ecuadorian association, established in 1984. It is an institution that gathers dancers and choreographers who work on and study different fields of scenic arts including performing, training and investigation, making it the leading developer of contemporary dance in Ecuador. Its members’ creative work has been shown in many countries, including Mexico, Brazil, USA, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, England, Poland, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Peru and Colombia. In Ecuador, the FDI has been the leader of the development of contemporary dance for the past 19 years, and it is one of the most important dance organizations in Latin America. Its richness relies on the diversity of its members.
