Starting out as a clarinetist from Pittsburgh, his stellar career was filled with engagements any performer would envy. He participated in every Presidential inauguration since John F. Kennedy and the inaugural galas of Presidents Reagan and Bush were nationally televised with Gene Donati participating in every element of production.
