The Georgetown Gospel Choir

THE GEORGETOWN GOSPEL CHOIR, made up of students and alumni of the University, has been in existence since 1980. The group's powerful ministry performs traditional and contemporary gospel music during worship services and concerts on campus and in the greater Washington, DC community. The choir is dedicated to Christian fellowship, spiritual growth, service and cultural enrichment. Director Leviticus Thomas will lead the group through "We Shall Overcome" and "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" accompanied by a jazz ensemble. A native of Florence, Alabama, LEVITICUS THOMAS has been playing the piano by ear since he was three years old.
