Marley's Head, founded in 1998 by three graduates of the Peabody Conservatory, is an ensemble comprised of voice, lute and violin, intent on taking the next step in American early music.A versatile performer, Joshua Lee can be found performing everything from alternative rock, jazz, and blue grass to classical music. Initially trained as a violinist, he now regularly performs on viols, baroque cello, violone and double bass.
Adam Wead first discovered the lute while studying in Florence, Italy, in the fall of 1995. Since then, he has slowly shifted from his previous studies in classical guitar, bassoon, and musicology to become a full-time lutenist. Presently, Mr. Wead lives in Bloomington, Indiana where he is a doctoral student at the Early Music Institute of Indiana University.
Tamara R. Rotz leads an eclectic musical life as a flutist, violinist/violist and conductor. She has studied historical flutes with Hal Ott, Jed Wentz and Eva Legene, and early violin/viola with David Douglas and Stanley Ritchie. Tamara is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Early Music Performance at Indiana University and performs with the Dayton Beach Society Orchestra and numerous small ensembles.
