The Idea of North

The members of the Idea of North are no strangers to Washington a cappella fans having won the regional finals of The Harmony Sweepstakes in DC in March 2003. They went on to win the finals and three of the four major awards in San Rafael Calif. in May 2003. They are back for a number of appearances, including hosting the 2004 finals of ‘The Sweeps’ on the West Coast. Graduates of two of Australia’s premier University-based Jazz Schools and winners of many awards and scholarships in Australia, recent overseas performance highlights have included tours in Taiwan, USA, Europe, Japan, Malaysia and New Zealand (2003-04).
