In Harmony

In Harmony, the honors choir of the Washington State School for the Blind, is in their fourth year of existence. The members must pass a rigorous audition and once in the ensemble, must maintain good grades in all their classes, practice daily and give service to the community. The choir won first place at the Clark College Jazz Festival this past January. In addition, accompanist Nick Baker won an Outstanding Musicianship award for his piano playing and his scat solo. In Harmony performs regularly at their school, and also at Senior Centers, the Shriner’s Hospital, public and private schools, Lions clubs, private social events, benefit concerts, churches, and other service organizations.
