Japanese Choral Society of Washington

The Japanese Choral Society of Washington was formed in the spring of 2001, under the direction of Mrs. Kimiko Shimada, a member of the Niki-Kai Opera Company in Japan, who graduated with highest honors from the National Verdi Conservatory in Milan, Italy. The members of the Society are residents of the Washington, DC area, including graduate students and teachers, staff members and spouses of Japanese business, media, government organizations, the World Bank and NIH.
