Julia Nixon

For more than 20 years, diva Julia Nixon has been a fixture on the Washington, DC music scene and beyond. "Julia & Company" was the resident group at the popular Mr. Henry's nightclub. Her tremendous vocal power has inspired comparisons with artists such as Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner and earned the lead role in the Broadway production “Dreamgirls.” Julia has an impressive 4½ octave range, and with Leontyne Price as one of her idols, as a young girl she spent 7 years of her life studying opera.
