The Kennedy Center/Dance Theatre of Harlem Community Residency Program

Now celebrating its seventeenth anniversary, The Kennedy Center Dance Theatre of Harlem Pre-Professional Residency program provides neo-classical ballet instruction to students ages 8 through 18.  Former principal dancers and teachers from Dance Theatre of Harlem provide training to Residency students, who are selected by audition to participate in this exemplary program.  The Residency program is designed to serve students living in the D.C. metropolitan area; and, each week students travel from quite near, and from as far as Baltimore (MD), the Eastern Shore (MD), Richmond (VA), and Fredericksburg (VA) to participate in the twenty-week program, which meets on Saturdays.
