Andrew Kerr

Andrew Kerr, a five-time winner of Best Performer Award at the Northern California Songwriters Association Open Mic, was born and raised in New York City and grew up with musical influences that ranged from James Taylor and Harry Chapin to the Sugar Hill Gang and Public Enemy. After graduating from college in 1992, Kerr returned to New York where he worked by day as an Investment Advisor and by night as a host and booker for the ôNew Voicesö showcase at the Fast Folk Cafe. In 1998 Kerr left the Investment Community to pursue music full-time, and relocated to San Francisco where he released his first CD, Me & Buddha. His first studio recording, ainÆt it strange, followed and KerrÆs current four-piece back-up band is made up of the core band of musicians who played on the CD: Adam ôBagelö Berkowitz on drums and percussion, Cole Tate on guitars, Chris Ashby on keyboards and Tony Saunders on bass.
