The Keshet Chorale

The Keshet Chorale was founded in 1998 and is comprised of men and women from the greater Washington D.C. community. Keshet is a Hebrew word meaning “rainbow” and reflects the varied backgrounds and professional careers of the members of Keshet, as well as the colorful spectrum of their repertoire of Jewish music which includes choral arrangements of modern and traditional Israeli and Hassidic songs, and liturgical music. Cantor Aaron Marcus is a graduate of the High School of Music and Art in New York City and has earned a B.

Under the direction of Cantor Aaron Marcus, cantors and choirs celebrate the life and music of the late Naomi Shemer, known as the “First Lady of Israeli Song.” The performance features Cantor Marshall Kapell, Hazzan Jenna Greenberg, the Keshet Chorale, the Congregation B’nai Tzedek Adult and Youth Choirs, the Kehila Chadasha Congregation Adult Choir, and the Ohr Kodesh Congregation Choir.
