Kilt

The Cape Breton group Kilt was formed in 1997. The four-member band now plays about 220 shows per year and has been the recipient of numerous awards. Their self-titled debut CD was nominated for Best New Artist and Group of the Year at two Canadian East Coast Music Awards. They also received nominations for Group of the Year and Roots/Traditional Group for their second CD, Four in the Crib. More a cross-over folk band than a Celtic band, KiltÆs music is influenced by pop, rock, traditional fiddle, country, jazz and New Age.
