Dr. Franklin Larey

Dr. Franklin Larey will be performing three solo piano pieces tonight: Claude Debussy’s Preludes, La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin and Feux d’Artifice, as well as Alexander Scriabin’s Sonata Number 4 in F#, Opus 30. Dr. Larey began studying the piano at the age of 16 and graduated from the University of the Western Cape with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and music. He is the only active black concert pianist in South Africa.
