Oscar Lopez

Born and raised in Santiago, Chile, Oscar Lopez established a musical career there as a composer as well as an instrumentalist. In 1979 he moved to Canada and now calls Calgary his home. Lopez has been described in The Associated Press as ô.an elegant guitarist who fills his playing with depth and texture as well as fire.ö Z Magazine agreed, saying, ôThe fiery artistry of Chilean/Canadian guitarist Oscar Lopez reveals intimate knowledge of the entire spectrum of Latin-rooted guitar music.
