AmericArtes: Mariano Gonzalez

MARIANO GONZALEZ, MASTER HARPIST with special guests Rolando Ojeda, vocals Héctor Muñoz, Silvio Solis, Pedro Gaona, harps Alfredo Alvarenga, percussion Master harpist Mariano Gonzalez incorporates jazz, classical, pop and Latin, with a traditional Paraguayan repertoire, to produce the lyrical, beautiful sounds unique to Paraguay. Gonzalez is joined by vocalist Rolando Ojeda, who sings in the sweet Paraguayan language, Guarani; and harpists Silvio Solis, Héctor Muñoz and Pedro Gaona. Solis, who began his career at age 10, has participated in festivals and won a variety of awards; Muñoz and Gaona have performed throughout the United States and Europe. Percussionist Alfredo Alvarenga will join them to enrich the Latin American repertoire.
