AmericArtes: Mariano Gonzalez

Master harpist Mariano Gonzalez incorporates jazz, classical, pop and Latin, with a traditional Paraguayan repertoire, to produce the lyrical, beautiful sounds unique to Paraguay.

Gonzalez is joined by vocalist Rolando Ojeda, who sings in the sweet Paraguayan language, Guarani; and harpists Silvio Solis, Héctor Muñoz and Pedro Gaona. Solis, who began his career at age 10, has participated in festivals and won a variety of awards; Muñoz and Gaona have performed throughout the United States and Europe. Percussionist Alfredo Alvarenga will join them to enrich the Latin American repertoire.
