Maureen McCusker Quartet

Maureen McCusker (flute,tenor sax, and vocals) is a native of Baltimore Maryland and attended college at UNLV in Las Vegas Nevada on a full tuition scholarship from 1978-1980. She returned home to Baltimore in 1980 to complete her college career with a BS in performance from Towson State University. There she studied flute and sax and played in Hank Levy's jazz ensemble. After completing her degree she joined the Peabody Ragtime Ensemble a Baltimore based septet led by tuba player Ed Goldstein. Maureen traveled with the band to Copenhagen in 1985 as a musical ambassador for the city of Baltimore and to Russia in 1987 under the auspices of the Smithsonian Institution and the Peabody Conservatory.
