Peter Mayer

A Minnesota native with a background in theology, singer/songwriter Peter Mayer began touring full-time in 1995 after honing his skills in the local market. As a solo artist he performs over 130 shows a year, at colleges, coffeehouses, and concert venues throughout the United States. MayerÆs numerous accolades include a 1998 Minnesota Music Award nomination for Best Folk Artist and a past nomination for Best Male Songwriter. He was also twice selected as a finalist in the Telluride Festival Songwriter Competition, chosen runner-up in the 1998 competition, and was a finalist at the 1998 Lyons Folk Festival Songwriting Competition. His first album, Uncrowded Sky, was nominated for Best Folk Album of the year by the Minnesota Music Academy.
