Carol McDavit

A native of Washington, D.C., Carol McDavit holds a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music and curently resides in Brazil, where she has built an impressive career as a soloist with the major symphony orchestras. She has sung with conductors such as Gyorgy Fischer, Kurt Redel, Hugo Reyne, Isaac Karabtchevsky, Romano Gandolfi, and others, and has had leading roles in Fidelio, Die Zauberflote, Rape of Lucretia, Orfeo ed Euridice, Carmen, Orfeo, and other operas. McDavit is also active as a recitalist, having presented over 200 solo and chamber music concerts in cities all over Brazil, and she had been featured in a video of the life and works of Villa-Lobos, where she sang the famous Bachianas Brasileiras #5.
