The John Mueller Duo

John T. Mueller, euphonium section leader and soloist of the United States Army Band, is in demand throughout the U.S. and abroad as a soloist, clinician, and adjudicator. Recently he was featured at events including: the 2000 International Tuba-Euphonium Conference in Regina, Canada; the 1999 Tubamania Conference and Competition in Sydney, Australia; the 1998 Hokkaido Tuba Camp in Japan; the 1997 Falcone Festival at Blue Lake, Michigan; and the 1996 International Brassfest in Long Beach, California. Other performances include: International Tuba-Euphonium Conferences in Lexington, Kentucky, and the Deutsches Tubaforum Conference. Mr. Mueller has served two terms on the Executive Committee of the Tubists Universal Brotherhood Association (T.U.B.A.), has been an associate editor of the T.U.B.A. Journal, and is a member of the T.U.B.A. Board of Directors. Additionally, Mr. Mueller is an honorary advisor the the Leonard Falcone Music Festival at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and Conference Coordinator of the Annual U.S. Army Band Tuba-Euphonium Conference.

Joseph Holt enjoys a wide ranging musical career as pianist, chamber music performer, educator, conductor and arranger. Currently pianist with The United States Army Chorus, pianist/associate conductor for the Choral Arts Society of Washington, and a Baldwin Concert Artist, he has also served as Director of Choral Activities at The American University and Head of Accompanying at George Mason University. In 1997 he was named Conductor and Music Director of Singers For All Seasons, a community outreach program of the Choral Arts Society. He has accompanied many artists, notably Jessye Norman, Denyce Graves, Roberta Peters and Richard Tucker among others. Prizewinner in the Wolf Trap Brahms Competition, the Washington International Competition for Pianists, and the William C. Byrd Young Artist Competition, he was also selected to participate in the La Gesse Piano Festival held in France. His most recent arrangement for two pianos, eight hands, entitled Movie Mayhem, was premiered in April, 2000 by Duo Times Two.
