Miguel Zenon and the Rhythm Collective

Saxophonist Miguel Zenon was born in 1976 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He studied at the Escuela Libre de Musica in Hato Rey, and received a scholarship from the Puerto Rico Heineken Jazz Festival. He continued his education at the Berklee School of Music in Boston. In 2001 he received his master’s degree in saxophone performance from the Manhattan School of Music. He has performed and recorded with an array of artists and groups including the David Sanchez Sextet, Danilo Perez, William Cepeda’s Afroican Jazz, and The Village Vanguard Orchestra, among others.
