The Newport Male Voice Choir

Founded in 1943 by Mr. William Wilde, the Newport Male Voice Choir was the first choir to be featured across Great Britain on the popular radio show, "Friday Night is Music Night." They have since gone on to appear on BBC radio and television numerous times. Today, the ensemble regularly participates in choral competitions in the United Kingdom and abroad, gaining recognition and success at such festivals as the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen, Wales, and national male voice concerts held regularly at London's Royal Albert Hall. They have also performed at the Malta International Festival, where they received a Bronze Award; the International Wine & Song Festival in Pecs, Hungary; and most recently they were invited to open the International Choral Festival in Estonia.
