Old Blind Dogs (The Kennedy Center)

Old Blind Dogs

Since forming in 1990, the Old Blind Dogs have stood on the cutting edge of ScotlandÆs roots revival. The band has developed its own trademark style in which dynamic percussion and bluesy harmonica fuel the delicately phrased melodies of traditional songs. The band has performed at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow, EdinburghÆs Shoots & Roots Festival, and the Cambridge Folk Festival. Rory Campbell (whistle, border pipes, backing vocals) was raised in central Scotland and is the son of a respected piper and singer from the Isle of Barra. He is a member of Deaf Shepherd and has recorded with the band Caledon.
