Bradford Lee Folk (guitar/vocals) was selected in 2001 as one of twelve songwriters to present his songs at the IBMA's Songwriters Showcase in Louisville, Kentucky. Born in Louisiana and raised in Missouri, Folk started playing guitar as a teenager but bluegrass took its hold on him in between hearing his first Flatt & Scruggs record and seeing Bill Monroe and the Osborne Brothers perform in Telluride. Caleb Roberts (mandolin/vocals) was born in Columbia, S.C., moved to Boulder, Colo., and began playing bluegrass mandolin a decade ago. A former member of alternative C & W band Slim Cessna's Auto Club, he has also played with area bluegrass bands Cross Ties and Soul Tractor, and is a member of the bluegrass supergroup Mighty Squirrel. He lives near Longmont, Colo.

Jim Runnels (banjo/vocals) has more than 20 years of bluegrass experience behind him. His career includes extensive touring with the Eastern band Whetstone Run in the early 1980s, and work in the past decade with Charles Sawtelle & the Whippets. Throughout his career he maintained the Colorado-based band "Jim Bob & the Bluegrass Pals."

Eric Thorin (bass) is a Colorado native who has toured with the Tony Furtado Band for four years and continues to sit in with a variety of musicians, including acoustic music ace Matt Flinner. He is bass instructor at the Yellowstone Jazz Festival and offers private lessons. Recent recordings include Ronnie Bedford and Friends, Andy Monley's Denver, Theano and Chuck Lamb's Renditions, The Winston's Vignettes and Second Chance, Armando Zuppa's Zuppaman and Curandero's Aras.

Robert Britt (fiddle) is the band's newest member and he hails from Chapel Hill, N.C. He moved to Colorado in June, 2002, right after graduating from high school, to begin working with Open Road. His wide range of musical influences and lilting solos contribute a fresh dimension to the Open Road Sound.
