Edwin Ortiz y Su Orquesta La Romana

Orquesta La Romana has been in existence since 1989, and the group routinely fills dance floors from New Jersey to Virginia Beach. In 1999, the ensemble was chosen as the first salsa orchestra to appear on cable’s Spotlight Special for Jones Communications. Also in 1999, the band was chosen as the first-ever Latino orchestra to participate in the Montgomery County Fair, as one of the grandstand acts. In 2000, Orquesta La Romana was the only Latino orchestra chosen to participate in Carnival 2000, an event sponsored by Black Entertainment Television (BET).
