Laura Schandelmeier

Laura Schandelmeier is a Dance Specialist who works as a choreographer, performer, teacher, and administrator. She creates movement-based solo and company works that draw from physical, thematic, and structural experimentations. She is the founder and director of The Field/DC, a satellite of The Field in NYC, which provides workshop and performance opportunities to artists. In New York City, she was the Artistic Director of her own dance company from 1988-1994 and became Associate Producer of Dance Theater Workshop (DTW). During that time she choreographed, produced, staged, and performed over twenty dance and theater works, including four full-evening productions.
