Trout Fishing in America (The Kennedy Center)

Trout Fishing in America

Now based in Northwest Arkansas, the 6Æ9ö tall guitarist and vocalist Ezra Idlet and the 5Æ5-1/2ö tall bassist and vocalist Keith Grimwood first teamed up in Houston, Texas, as members of the folk-rock band St. ElmoÆs Fire. Idlet was one of the founding members of that band, while Grimwood joined after leaving a classical music career as bassist for the Houston Symphony. As early as 1977, Idlet and Grimwood began performing on the side as a duo. They adopted the name Trout Fishing in America from the title of a novel by Richard Brautigan.
