The Tsunami Theater Company

Founded in 1998, Tsunami is a professional theatre company dedicated to creating innovative and thought-provoking work that celebrates and yet challenges the diversity that is America. It aspires to produce works that speak from, to, and about the experiences of Asian Americans and to nurture Asian and Asian American artists. At the same time, it also encourages collaborations between artists from a variety of cultural backgrounds to explore and develop possibilities for inter- and intra-cultural communication and understanding. Tsunami is committed to developing relations and educational outreach programs with the broader communities it serves, believing ultimately that no boundaries can exist between artists, audience, and their art.
