The Trio WAG

Walter Szymanski, a native of Detroit, recently returned from a successful tour in Japan with Ms. Jo Thompson. He has toured the world performing with some of his jazz idols including Dizzy Gillespie, Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Milt Hinton and Sarah Vaughn. He has also recorded and performed with such Motown stars as Aretha Franklin, the Temptations, and the Four Tops. He has served as composer in residence for the Detroit Dance Collective, the Acoustic Arts Ensemble, and the Detroit Concert Choir, and as professor of jazz trumpet, arranging, and composition studies at Oakland University in Michigan.
