The West Hampton Winds Quintet

Flutist Luellyn North has a bachelorÆs degree from the University of North Texas and a masterÆs degree from Northwestern University. She played piccolo with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago before moving to Washington. Her awards include 3rd place in both the National Flute AssociationÆs Young Artist and Piccolo Artist competitions, as well as 1st place in the Young Artist Competition sponsored by the Flute Society of Washington. She currently plays 2nd flute/piccolo in the Arlington Symphony and occasionally subs with the Fairfax and Alexandria Symphonies. Oboist Scott Alexander earned a degree in Oboe Performance from Murray State University.
