Wild Basin Winds

The Wild Basin Winds was founded in 1996 by musicians who have played together in Texas orchestras and chamber music groups for more than a decade. Ian Davidson, oboe, is a member of the Austin Symphony, the Austin Lyric Opera and Santa Fe Opera Orchestras. He is also a frequent guest artist with the Chamber Soloists of Austin and numerous other concert series and orchestras around Texas. Davidson holds doctoral degrees in oboe performance from the University of Texas and teaches oboe and humanities at Southwest Texas State University. Tom Hale, french horn, is principal horn of the Austin Symphony, Austin Lyric Opera, and the Victoria Symphony, and frequently performs with the orchestras of Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Laredo, San Angelo, and Santa Fe.
