Ma Xiaohui

Xiaohui Ma is a principal Er'hu player of Shanghai National Music Orchestra, Nomitation Prize Winner of Shanghai Ten Excellent Young Performers, artistic director of Hongkong Youth Music Association. Born and bred in an intellectual family, she began to learn music at the age of six from Prof. Shu Zhao of Sichuan Conservatory of Music. At the age of thirteen, she was admitted to the middle school attached to Shanghai Conservatory of Music with her outstanding musical talent. In 1987, she gained the bachelor degree and entered Shanghai National Music Ochestra; henceforth, she began to take up the stage as her artistic career.
