Mable "May" Knott

At the age of nine, Mable "May" Knott debuted at AT&T College in Greensboro, North Carolina, by winning a local talent contest. After studying piano and music composition at the University of Dayton in Ohio, she performed with band leader and mentor Buddy Webb and with such jazz greats as Dizzy Gillespie, Kenny Burrell, and Antonio Hart. She has performed on television and appeared at popular night spots throughout the United States, and often performs at clubs in the Washington, D.C., area.
