University of Central Oklahoma

The University of Central Oklahoma’s award winning dance program offers the BFA in Dance with an exciting variety of coursework. Students can participate in the UCO Kaleidoscope Dancers Company, a touring repertory company that averages 20 performances a year and has performed for over 30,000 young people in Oklahoma. The Kaleidoscope Dancers Company has received many awards including the Edmond 2001 Community Support for the Arts Award for arts outreach; the National College Choreography Initiative from Dance/ USA (2000 & 2003); the 2002 Outstanding Student Choreographer and the 2004 Outstanding Student Performer from the South-Central American College Dance Festival. BILL EVANS is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, lecturer, administrator, movement analyst and writer with a uniquely varied and comprehensive background of experiences and accomplishments. He is artistic director of the Bill Evans Dance Company (founded in 1975) and also director of the Bill Evans Summer Institute of Dance (founded in 1976) and the Bill Evans Teachers' Intensives (founded in 1999).
