The Wilders (The Kennedy Center)

The Wilders

Although their first performance featured The Wilders as a trio known as the High-Strung String Band, the group became a quartet in 1997, and took the name The Wilders as a tribute to the history presented in Laura Ingalls Wilder's books (the "Little House" stories). While all of the group's members are songwriters, as The Wilders they prefer to perform music of the past.

The Wilders 7/8/04: The Wilders

The Wilders, an energetic Kansas City string band, play vintage country music with passion - from old-time fiddle tunes to swinging honky tonk. A real hillbilly riot!
