Botafogo

Miguel “Botafogo” Villanova, a native of Buenos Aires, started playing classical guitar at age 9. He received his first electric guitar when he was 12. At 17 he made his professional debut and his professional career took off. Botafogo lived and performed in Madrid for seven years with almost all of the renowned Spanish rock ‘n’ roll artists such as Joaquin Savina, Antonio Flores and others. Upon his return to Buenos Aires in 1984, he formed the band “Durazno de Gala,” which for ten years led the Argentine blues scene, releasing four recordings.
