Hafiz Abdel Rahman

Sudanese flutist and composer Hafiz Abdel Rahman is a graduate of the Music Academy of Sudan in Khartoum. He established his musical group in Khartoum in 1991 and has been touring the world ever since. He has participated in many international festivals including Abu Dhabi Cultural Center, Paris Arab-French Institute, Vienna Solo Festival, Beirut Sudanese Community Festival, Geneva Hilton World Congress of Families, South African Johanesburge University and many, many others. Sudan’s culture is very rich with influence from various cultures. Since 1950, many modern Western instruments have become popular for use in the music of Sudan including the lute, violin, accordion and flute.
