Amark

Entering the musical world as Proyeccion Altiplano, morphing to AMARK (which translates to “Knowledge of the Popular Music”) for an impressive ring and more memorable title to their band, this Ecuadorian Ensemble has been pushing breathtaking rhythms and Latin American Folk throughout the world. The group currently has two discs to their credit. Pequeno Amor, which contains Ecuadorian themes and songs integrated in their musical ideas. The second cd, Derroche is trademark to the band’s musical fusion of Caribbean rhythm with instruments from the Andes Mountains and resulting in a style known as “salsa andina.” AMARK has toured throughout Ecuador.
