German-American Song Festival on Tour

The German-American Song Festival on Tour (DAFT) is a roots music and singer/songwriting music festival on tour that takes place annually in a rotating pattern in both Germany and the United States. It presents a unique mix of traditional and contemporary music with artists from both countries. The first DAFT tour took place in the summer of 2003 in Germany, presenting three song poets from both Germany and the United States. They performed at 28 concerts in schools, at festivals, in pubs and a variety of music venues throughout different German states. The participating artists are Annie Wenz (USA), Martina Höfer (Germany), Rik Palieri (USA), Robert Williams (USA/Germany), Wilfried Mengs (Germany) and George Wurzbach (USA).
