Jubilate Children’s Choir

The Jubilate Children’s Choir of Chicago is a world-class company of 300 young singers dedicated to forging a path to peace through the performance of music from diverse world cultures. Their performance projects include collaborations with African drummers, klezmer bands, Irish fiddlers, and an array of artists from other disciplines. For their performance, the choir has selected Charles Davidson’s musical setting of I Never Saw Another Butterfly. The work is based on poetry written by Jewish children imprisoned in the concentration camp at Terezin during World War II. Between 1942 and 1944, 15,000 children entered Terezin.
