Intrin-x-ico

Rolando Matias, leader, all percussion Mario Abney, trumpet Antonio Orta, saxophones Dean Hulett, bass Chris Lugeay, guitar Didier Proussard, piano Robert Beasly, percussion Afro-Latin-Bebop! A tasteful combination of afro-Latin polyrhythms and hard bebop melodies, Intrin-x-ico pays homage to all the great artists, from the Bebop era from Gillespie to Monk, Miles to Coltrane. The intensity of the percussion brings a “Primal” sound to the music yet keeping the gentle nature of jazz.
