Dave Detweiler and Prelude

One of the DC area’s finest performing groups has put together a trule unique show of Christmas melodies arranged in a variety of jazz forms by several of today’s genius writer-arrangers. The arrangements of Mike Crotty, Michael Brown, and Mike Tomaro top a list of creatively developed favorites performed to perfection by trumpeter Dave Detwiler (US Army Blues) saxophonist Chris Vadala (Director of Jazz, University of maryland, Chuck Mangione), trombonist Danny Williams (US Marine Band), backed by the fabulous rhythm section of Ron Chiles on piano, Paul Scimonelli on bass, Ken McNair on drums, Wiley Porter on guitar, Leo Alvarez, Latin Percussion and featured vocals by Anne Kempton.
