FAIR School

The Fine Arts Interdisciplinary Resource School (FAIR) is a voluntary integration school for students in grades 4-8 which is empowered by diversity, and committed to academic excellence and artistic expression. The FAIR School is one of two schools in the West Metro Education Program, a joint powers district founded as a voluntary integration program in the west metro area of the Twin Cities. A diverse student population, drawn from 11 school districts including Minneapolis, is selected to attend FAIR through a lottery system. FAIR School provides arts instruction in dance, media arts, folk dance, theater, visual arts and vocal music. There are five instrumental ensembles including beginning orchestra, advanced orchestra, beginning band, advance band and jazz band.
