Rondinella

The Rondinella Youth Choir was set up in 1976 by Jacques Maertens and has been led by Rudy Van der Cruyssen since 1998. Only pupils of the local Art Academy may join the choir. Pupils who love singing in a group are carefully tested, and their voices are developed to the highest possible technical level. As Flanders’ only Youth choir, the choir is classified under an honorary section of the Provincial Competition for choirs in West Flanders, and in 1997 became ‘Laureate Finalist in Same Voice choirs’ in the ‘Choir of the year’ competition. Rondinella has performed more than 120 concerts at home and abroad.
