Ronald K. Brown

Brooklyn born, Ronald K. Brown founded Evidence, a dance company in 1985. The company has performed at numerous venues in New York and abroad. Brown’s Evidence fuses modern, African, ballet, and gesture into a style Brown calls “contemporary African dance” and couples it with poetry or other text. Some of Evidence’s most celebrated works are Upside Down (1998), High Life (2000), and Walking Out the Dark (2001).
